Free Team Building Activities

Fun and Innovative Team Building Games

Free Team Building Activities

Free Team Building ActivityThese free team building activities are appropriate for kids and adults alike. In fact, that is exactly what makes them such powerful team building material.

Follow the five easy steps and you'll be on your way to an innovative and fun team building activity.

Five Easy Steps to YOUR
Free Team Building Activities

Step One:

Choose and icebreaker activity. It's imperative that your participants feel comfortable opening up to each other.

Step Two:

Download the activity worksheet for males and for females.

Step Three:

Gather creative supplies (markers, paper, glue, scissors, tape, magazines, string, stickers, construction paper, spangles, and whatever else is bright, shiny and cheerful).

Encourage participants to use these creative supplies when completing the worksheet.  This lightens up the activity and adds lots of smiling, fun and enjoyment.  It also helps people to connect more openly and honestly!

Step Four:

Determine how many worksheets you want to have each team member complete.  This number depends on your time constraints, but the second worksheet goes much more quickly than the first AND is much, much more fun!

Be sure to make enough copies.  Explain that each participant will pair up with another team member for each worksheet.

Each person will then list 3 qualities, traits and talents they admire about their partner.  Next their partner will do the same for them.  REPEAT so that each participant has at least one completed worksheet!  It's highly recommended that a completed worksheet consist of qualities, traits and talents AND the creative supplies you gave to the participants to use!

Step Five:

Present this team building activity with a light heart and with the intention to have loads of fun getting team members to open up to each other.  You'll be amazed at the positive results (and if they are slow to warm up to each other... just keep encouraging them to get more and more playful and creative!)

Team members need to feel comfortable talking with one another and team facilitation is your key to successful team management.

There are Four Main Team Qualities that this Team Building Activity Addresses

Communicates Constructively

Team members need to speak up and express their thoughts and ideas clearly, directly, honestly, and with respect for others and for the work of the team. That's the definition of constructive communication.
